Tairua School is located in the seaside town of Tairua, on the eastern coast of the Coromandel Peninsula, New Zealand. We are a full primary school, catering to students in Years 1 to 8.

Through innovative teaching, strong community culture and close connections with our surrounding environment, we pioneer student-led learning that equips our young people to thrive and excel in a globalised world. Parents/Caregivers and members of the wider school community have extensive opportunities to become involved in the school curriculum and events. The school community is made up of the diverse families that live within the Tairua Township and surrounding areas. The classroom programmes encourage parental involvement and utilise the knowledge, talent and skills that our community possesses.
